One of the more affordable properties on the exclusive Newell Beach, The Palms is an original seaside cottage which has been renovated & freshly decorated to provide a tropical holiday home with three large bedrooms & three bathrooms. Together with modern conveniences & luxury furnishings, it has all the ingredients for a relaxing holiday in paradise!

A beautiful courtyard protects the absolutely private swimming pool while the bedrooms in the house can be configured to provide 3 king sized beds and 1 queen or 1 king, 1 queen, 4 king singles and a set of bunk beds.
Three of the bedrooms have their own bathroom with the main featuring a huge ensuite & double shower overlooking the Coral Sea. The Palms On Newell Beach located north of Port Douglas has sea-kayaks, badminton gear, buckets, spades, board games & large swimming pool. - Perfect for exhausting the young ones & the young at heart.

Newell Beach is ideally situated only ten minutes north of beautiful Port Douglas & only one hour's scenic drive from Cairns International Airport. Newell Beach is a small beachside community where The Palms is one of less than 30 homes tucked among the palm trees, enjoying an 'absolute beachfront' address. You will immediately want to enjoy a stroll along the pristine white sands of Newell Beach.
The retreat boasts grassy play areas, spilling onto the sands of Newell Beach & turquoise Coral Sea. This holiday retreat is a classic Australian beach house with recently renovated kitchen, bathrooms & well appointed facilities; it's a beautifully furnished holiday home ideal for a family of up to 8 or up to 4 couples or 2 families. The house can sleep 10 people comfortably.
Once you settle in & enjoy the complimentary champagne on arrival, you will discover the natural, easy-going charm this beach house exudes - the perfect holiday ambience - the perfect setting for a memorable, relaxing & fun family holiday.
Local Attractions
Many guests of The Palms on Newell Beach prefer to go no further than the quiet seclusion of the retreat, spending their time by the pool, on the beach or in the hammock; reading, enjoying family time & simply relaxing. A paddle on the kayaks in the calm waters of the Coral Sea out your back door would complete a perfect holiday for many. For keen golfers, Mossman golf course is located under a kilometre away.
For those who like to include some other activities, The Palms at Newell Beach is located between two of the sixteen Australian World Heritage listed areas - The Great Barrier Reef & Daintree Rainforest. The Daintree Rainforest - Twenty minutes drive north of the retreat is the Daintree River, where you can take your car by ferry into the majestic World Heritage Listed Daintree National Park. Alternately, take a leisurely Daintree River Cruise to take in the Daintree's fantastic wildlife - including its crocodiles. The Great Barrier Reef - There are many ways to see the marine wonderland of the Great Barrier Reef, whether it be snorkeling, diving or viewing from a glass-bottom boat or semi-submersible craft. A day trip to the Great Barrier Reef is a highlight of a lifetime for young and old alike. Kuranda Railway & Skyrail - About 40 minutes drive south of The Palms is the Kuranda Railway & Skyrail.

The location of this house is unbeatable - the ocean is literally at the bottom of the garden at high tide, and during the day, the low tide reveals a magnificent beach with few other people on it. The setting of the house is such that, though there are a handful of neighbouring properties, there is truly a sense of 'getting away from it all'.
Palms on Newell is on a quiet street, an easy 20 minute drive north of Port Douglas, and five minutes from Mossman, where there is a supermarket for supplies to stock the fridge and make your own meals.
The beds were wonderful - comfortable, crisp white sheets and lots of pillows. Three of the four bedrooms have floor to ceiling windows facing the sea-side of the house, so you can lie in bed and listen to - even look at - the ocean through the screened louvres. There is plenty of storage space (cupboards/drawers) in the bedrooms. There was a bottle of champagne and chilled glasses in the fridge on arrival.
"Absolute Paradise"
Newell beach is absolutely stunning and this house is situated right on it, we are so glad we chose to come here. The back deck is the perfect place for a few drinks and literally just a few steps and we were walking on the sand. The beach is quiet and very private so you'll avoid the droves of tourists that frequent Port Douglas. The house itself was clean and well kept and the rooms are large. The pool was great, weloved having a BBQ and swim in the evening. The WiFi was super quick too. We will be back! Thank You

Yes, The Palms is ideal for younger & older children.
- Is The Palms available for Wedding hire?
There are better venues for such an occassion however, please contact us as we may be able to accommodate small bridal parties.
- Are pets allowed at The Palms?
No, pets are not allowed at The Palms.
- Is there internet access at The Palms?
Yes, but you will need to bring your own computer and/or mobile devices.
- Is a deposit required?
25% Deposit is required at the time of booking.
Remaining 75% must be paid 30 days prior to stay. - What if I cancel my reservation?
All cancellations incur a $100 penalty deducted from the deposit. If your cancellation is advised 30 days or less prior to confirmed arrival date, deposit and all other funds paid are non-refundable.
